Response to Graham Nunn on Fatherhood Day 19

Breastbound Mama

That scent trail

instinctive, voracious

a fast flicker of the bird mouth

open, fossicking

until that latching on

nipple deep back

areola lip-locked

sucking and drawing the milk

oxytocin tiger

clawing at the womb wall

lamb-love chemistry

swooning and spooning

into drowsiness.
